3rd Grade

In my classroom, you will see many different types of instruction being used.  I enjoy presenting concepts as a whole group, but then I individualize instruction to the needs of each student.  I also allow my students to work both independently as well as in big and small groups.  I feel that sometimes another student can share a subject in a different way than I can, so that should be an important part of the learning process as well.  Students are also given the opportunity to explore learning through hands on projects and active speaking and listening.  Whenever it is possible, I also bring in computer games and software to help students learn as well.  News magazines and other tools are also a part of my teaching.  My students love seeing what will happen the next day and never know quite what to expect from day to day.  I enjoy seeing through the eyes of my students so I think that is what also keeps me interested in teaching and enjoying time with them.
