Parent Teacher Organization
Al-Furqan Academy’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an essential and integral part of our school's organizational structure and cannot be substituted or relegated to any other entity. The purpose and mission of a PTO shall be established in order to maximize parental involvement in our school’s educational process, and activate them from "passive customers” to “full partners”. The PTO shall facilitate regular communication and activities between parents and teachers to share information and discuss suggestions or concerns regarding school and student issues. The PTO shall also recruit volunteers to participate in school related social functions requiring assistance from parents and the community, as well as assist the AFA administration and board to reach resolutions on issues of concern referred by parents or faculty in order to represent the interest and concerns of both groups of stakeholders.
