4th Grade

Welcome to Fourth Grade at Al-Furqan Academy. As educators, our goal is to inspire students to reach their full potential through experiences that promote critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, values, respect, accountability, work ethic, cooperation, leadership and determination. Our hope is to help them become functioning members of society who contribute to the greater good of all humanity.  Every parent is encouraged to participate in school activities, volunteer in their child's classroom, join PTO, and work with their child at home. Together we will reach our goal of EXCELLENCE. Students need to feel safe and comfortable so that he or she can learn as much as possible.  While a lot is expected from our students, we also want them to enjoy school and learning.  It is important for the teacher to know her students, their strengths and weaknesses, and how they learn.  A lot of time is spent analyzing what works and what doesn't, so that we can improve the quality of teaching that we offer our students.  Our curriculum is based on the Florida State Standards, and we strive to present our students with relevant and rigorous learning experiences.
