Kindergarten

Our class is structured around the Common Core curriculum as well as the Sunshine State Standards. We use the Starfall Curriculum as our literary guide and Math Their Way to teach mathematics. Many of the activities that the children participate in are hands-on.  We use many manipulatives to enhance the children’s learning experience. The children enjoy learning games, puzzles, art activities and reading books and poems in a cheerful and fun environment. Social Studies and Science are Thematic and are incorporated into our Reading,  Writing, and Math lessons.  Kindergarten children also receive daily instruction from Sr. Seham in Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies. Students also participate in Physical Education, Art and Library Science. We strive to make learning in kindergarten a pleasurable experience!
